Special pump and valve control systems require special designs. These designs generally include two or three sensor inputs and pump contactors, thermal overloads, status indicators, and actuated valve controls. The ULC allows you to easily interface sensors and switches to control pumps and valves through hardwired logic.

The CATEC ULC is housed in a 15" x 12" Fiberglass enclosure with a PCB containing eight (8) DPDT relays, each with dual input and dual output wire terminals. They can be easily hardwired into many various logic configurations (AND, OR and other Logic configurations) . In addition, the unit contains two (2) FET inverters that can receive nearly any logic signal and drive a relay and/or indicator for its output. If required, an Audible Alarm can be programmed to “Chirp” when addressed.

The unit is simple to program, with a large number of input & output options. Some examples are in the diagrams below. CATEC can "program" the unit to perform the functions you desire.

As an added interface option, is a Universal Satellite PCB Assembly that can be located remotely to convert 120 Volt AC signals or 12 Volt DC signals to a double pole double throw uncommitted relay contact to allow transmission of signals from a remote location controller to the Universal Logic Control without the need to hardwire high voltage and negating the need for conduit.

The front panel contains three (3) programmable switches and seven (7) programmable LED indicators. Any name, nomenclature, and logic may be assigned to each component on the panel label.

Attached is a "standard" panel (Label & Legends TDB) and a logic design diagram showing simple switch & relay configurations to illustrate the flexibility of this design.

This design should allow for many simple logic and control variations, which will result in new control applications to be considerably more simple and lower cost to design and produce. This will make "Specials" a bit less special. All Logic and panel functions are programmable by interconnection wiring.
